I got a check from my homeowners Insurance, can anyone figure out why?

I already called my insurance agent and he sent me a receipt to prove its paid in full but I just think something is wrong and he's missing something.

I closed March 19. Prior to that I had gotten the policy and the premium due for the year was $1,390. They sent me this form to put my cc info on so they could charge me since I needed to pay it before closing. I faxed it over. Closing came and they lawyer told me the check to bring. I honestly had no idea what it covered. (according to my closing statement I did pay it at closing though)

today, we get a check in the mail for $1,390. and my credit card still has not been charged. (I actually had called the broker about a month after we closed, because I knew we hadn't been charged, and I didn't want to get dropped. He said we paid it at closing, which I verified on my closing statement)

so today the agent says we paid it at closing again. ok I get that. But I never paid it another time, my credit card was never charged, I have nothing on it and its linked to my bank account so I can see nothing has been charged.

My agent is insisting its my money. As much as I would love that, I can't figure out how! The bank did escrow 4 months worth of insurance at closing but again, I don't see how I would get the entire premium back.
Included in my mortgage payment is insurance. Does that matter?

I'm hoping someone else knows or sees something I am missing here. But for some reason I think I need to send that check back.

I wish I got mine back. I would guess they are just accepting the payment in your monthly mortgage, and not asking you to pay a year now, and then still monthly.

I dont know, but thats my best guess
