Outside activities to stay fit/exercise?
What kinds of things now that it's nice out do you do? I was thinking of trying kayaking with my friend. I know bike riding. Maybe hiking (although I dont think thats for me)

I go for runs in Eisenhower Park. I might start running on the beach as well.

I do gardening!!!! That's A LOT of points! Especially if you dig and weed.
Also I do 1 hour walk with DS. I put him in the stroller because of my pace and because it would be way too much/long for him to walk.

Re: Outside activities to stay fit/exercise?
What about Beach Volleyball or even softball or soccer at a local park?
I love being outdoors this time of year. Even going for a walk, rollerblading, or bike riding is so nice

Re: Outside activities to stay fit/exercise?
runs, hikes, rollerblading...
i have a park across the street from me and one loop through is a mile, so i'll jog the mile to warm up then go through the loop again adding strength work like 20 walking lunges, then jog a bit more, then i'll do some push ups, then jog a little more, then do some plyo work, then jog, etc. then when i'm done with that second loop i'll run the third straight through. i try to be creative and use benches, pull up bars, hills, etc at the park to create new exercises to do. i took a friend through this training and its fun because you think about getting creative using what you find.

I'm with you! It's not traditional exercise but I sure sweat a lot, use and stretch muscles.
I also take my dogs for walks, play with them in the backyard, take them on trails in parks and this weekend went to an agility training class.

I just read "somewhere" that it was great for an alternative to the gym. True that! Weeding, Pulling watering hose, doing a patio.. I am getting my workout when I do garden.
The 1st week I lost 4 Lbs with all the gardening I did and starting WW.
