Blinds - I HATE THEM!
You know the cheap white ones? I despise them. We put them up in our house when we moved in until we got settled. Well that was 6 years ago   I do have valances in some rooms but I seriously just want to be rid of the blinds. Would love to do vertical blinds in some of the rooms but they can be pricey. If I do curtains, where should I go - $ is an issue because I have a LOT of windows..and want something that will give some privacy....not too sheer...

check out JCPenny online or in store. They have the faux wood blinds. Catch a good sale there ane you won't spend too much. Hope that helps. GL!

 I hear you. We still have the white paper shades in about 90% of our house.
I agree with Jen - def check out the faux wood ones.

I have faux wood ones in all of our bedrooms. They do a great job of keeping out the light too. I ordered online at Selectblinds.com.
