LI IVF

I had two failed IVF cycles at LI IVF.
After my first failed cycle, the dr. said to try again and it was just bad luck since I I stimulated well for my age (39) and high FSH. After the second failed cycle, they suggested using donor eggs. When I asked about trying with my own eggs since I had two more covered IVF attempts thru insurance they said no. Has anyone used LI IVF and been told the same thing? My friend mentioned they are very concerned about their stats and to find another clinic. .Any recommendations? Thanks

I have no experience with a situation like this. I just wanted to suggest a second opinion. There are a ton of Dr's out there...it can't hurt to hear a 2nd opinion.

would you mind telling me who your re is..
mine is kenigsberg.. i have my follow-up next tues.
my beta was yesterday and bfn..
I am also 39 but my FSH is normal. however, my ovaries hide by my spine and it made ER very difficult.

if you wouldn't mind fm me more info about your cycles i would love to compare.

First sorry about the failed cycles.

I too go there ,DR.Brenner is my doctor
I started there years ago and I just turned 39, I have normal FSH and I respond well.

Never has he mentioned donor eggs

they said no to you about another cycle? do you have a frozen?

KrisClaire, My RE was Kenigsberg as well. My first cycle I had 10 follicles, 7 retrieved and 3 fertilized (Grade 1- 8 cell, Grade 2- 6 cell and Grade 2- 10 cell). I was told the embryos was considered A+ by Dr. Kukkokan at transfer. We transferred all three and got a BFN. My second cycle I only had 5 follicles, 2 retrieved and none fertilized. My FSH fluctuates between 10 and 20. I think as long as your FSH is low you should be fine. I am now looking for a RE that specializes in High FSH. Good luck.

I think the issue may be the high FSH. I was told by others to look for a RE that specializes in High FSH. After we got the donor egg speech I went home and was very upset. We decided donor eggs was not an option for us. I called them back about a week later to ask about using my own eggs for our last two covered IVF cycles and was told flat out NO. Personally I found the dr. to be not much for words and having no bedside manner.But that is just my opinion.We dont have any frozen embryos. We transfered all three embryos from the first cycle. It sounds like you are fine since you respond well and have normal FSH so you wont get the donor egg speech. Good luck.

That is really strange.. since my first cycle(mar 10). i got only one egg retrieved by brenner (kenigsberg was is cost rica on vacation) and it was transfered at 8 cell and grade2.. told it was excellant... second time.. kenigsberg got 5 eggs and only one fertilized with ICSI.. how does only one fertilize. i also had it in my protocal to do and iui in case all the eggs werent retrieved.. iui was done.. when transfer came (6-10), the embie was 6 cell and grade2. again bfn..
i used a grant twice so if i had known i really was going to have so much let down, i would have never done ivf.
