Anyone who is having a girl
do you feel good about yourself? I ask because they say that if you are having a girl, you feel horrible about yourself during your pregnancy.
Just another indication that I'm having a girl.
On the other hand, if you are having a boy, how do you feel?

Re: Anyone who is having a girl
Well I was SURE (I mean without a 'doubt' sure) that I was having a girl (this was based on sooo many of those things that seemed to be indiciative of "having a girl"... how I was carrying, heartrate, just my own 'vibe,' etc...) BUT lo and behold, I'm having a !
I don't know if I necessarily feel "lousy" about myself, but I do just feel as though I'm not living in my own skin, if that makes any sense. The changes in my body have been a bigger adjustment than I was expecting them to be, and I'm surprised at how poor my self image is some days (even though I know it's for a good thing, being PG, I can often be really hard on my looks .. but I was also that way pre-pregnancy too)... My skin is really nasty, my hair is drab, the weight gain is "all over" so I just feel kind of yucky in that regard -
Physically, I feel pretty good though. Once I got over my M/S I've had a really easy time of things so far .. I sleep well, I don't have many aches/pains, etc. So in that aspect, I really cannot complain. Is that more of what you mean?

Re: Anyone who is having a girl
As far as the sono tech can see I am having a girl. And to be honest there are good days and there are really crappy days. My legs are very sore. My feet/ankles are swollen. My back hurts. I am 29 weeks and still have a way to go yet I just feel crappy most of the time.
P.S. I had no morning sickness.

I personally dont' believe in all that superstition stuff. I'm having a girl and I feel great and had no m/s or any other symptoms.

Re: Anyone who is having a girl
I am having a girl....as far as health wise - I have felt great, didnt have any morning sickness or any other symtoms like that...
however, as far as appearence goes - I dont feel so hot I think its very true what they say, "a girl takes away from your beauty" - I have gained weight all over rather than just in the belly, my skin has gotten terrible, my face has changed so much, etc...
but - it will all be worth it. 1.5 weeks to go!!

I agree. I felt absolutely wonderful during my pregnancy; I carried all in front, gained just the right amt. of weight, I had really mild queasiness only in the first few weeks; nearly everyone swore I was having a boy and I thought I looked pretty darn good too...guess what...I was shocked during delivery to hear, "We have a GIRL!!"
