What kind/type of furniture would you put in a bedroom with a...

... brass headboard? We have my parents' brass headboard. Its gorgeous - just needs a little buffing/shining, whatever. We are buying new furniture for our bedroom and having our furniture refinished for Abby. We don't need a new bed.

I'd love to see any suggestions you might have since I have no style.

do u have pics of the headboard?

eta-- I would say, depending on the style-- would you be open to changing the patina of it? May open your design options, but I understand it has sentimental value.

I would say that metal headboards evoke a more country/cottage theme to me.

I wouldnt be opposed to anything really since I don't have to buy new. Country cottage doesn't sound like a bad idea since I am trying to lighten the room and open it up a bit. If anyone has any pictures, please post.
