Valance?
Looking for a nice, inexpensive valance for my bedroom. A light color, beige or something like that (our walls are on the darker side....cappuccino) I can't find anything I like! 
Any suggestions?

i think the problem is that i really don't want a valance  but i fee like i have to choice. there ar big verticals on the windows (which we aren't replacing right now) and the one window butts up to the closet, so i feel like a valance is my only option.

you could do sheers and pull them to the opposite side of where the closet is. You don't have to have curtains always on both sides. HTH!

I've bought many window treatments from JCpenny online and have been very satisfied.
You may also want to check out a marburn curtains if you have one near you they have great deals but a weird return policy...

will it look silly on a regular white rod......b/c I can't fit a rod on the window.
oh...and the other window is behind my bed --would a sheer be ok there?
i need to try and get a picture tonight
I don't think I would love it on a white rod. If you could take some pics of each of the windows that might help out. And yes sheers behind your bed is completely fine.

I have sheers in my kitchen on a regular white rod, the cheapy metal guys that have been around forever....
My sheers are light yellow - you don't even notice the rod.
