300 IUs Follistim
Has anyone of you ladies ever been on such a high dose of Follistim injectables? I'll be on 300 IUs tonight and tomorrow night and then on 225 on Wednesday and Thursday. I was on 150 last month along with Femara and only produced one follie. Dr B upped my dose to increase the number of follies... but of course I'm freaking out now because the dose is double.... and a lot more frequent. Plus last month I developed a cyst on the 150 every other day, so what does that tell me about the 300 dosage...? Has anyone of you ladies ever been on such a high dose?

I was never on more than 150ius of gonal-f (never used follistim) .. but what I can tell you is that Dr.B has loads of experience and knows your situation so I wouldn't worry too much about any harmful effects of a higher dosage!

i agree with PennyCat
but seriously i started on 150ius and hyperstimmed. the next cycle he had me down to 37.5 which i had no response to. later that cycle i was upped to 75ius which is double - so i think its standard practice to double or half or quarter. i wouldnt be too concerned if he thinks it will do what it needs to do to get you some follies!!

I was on 225iu in the AM and 225iu in the PM for my frist IVF cycle. I have elevated FSH so i think that's why I needed to have so much in my system and even with that huge amount, I only produced 5 follicles last cycle. Everyone's body is very different and some people respond better to low stim and some better to high stim. I don't use Dr. B as my RE but like other people have said, you don't have to worry too much because he's the professional.
