Taxes

This might be a dumb question, but I'm asking it anyway...when you buy a house and you are told what your taxes are from the town, does that include your school taxes?

I was doing a search on something else and I read something where someone listed what could be paid by your escrow account and property tax and school tax were listed separately. I am really hoping that the town automatically includes them or we might owe school taxes eventually. TIA

Usually when you ask the seller what the "taxes" are that will include everything.

I would check with the town as well as the seller because whatever the seller tells you will include their Star excemptions and they may get extra for elderly, military, etc.
