its just to much work for us to do

No suggestions...but I feel your pain. We have the same exact problem. When we moved in to our house almost 4 years ago everything was beautiful. We did attempt to keep up with it - but it was too much for us gardening newbies.

we just moved in and we actually attempted to rip it out. we did half of it, and it was HE!L!!! it took hours to rip then hours to get it out to the street. we don't have it in us to do the rest. it is really hard work!
