Gardeners- what to put here?
I just pulled up a buttload of mint- but what should I put there? Another shrub? Flowers? Any ideas? I can't move the shepherd's hook unless I want to lose the vine, but I love the vine. The spot gets very good sun, or I would have put a hydrangea there.

What is your sun exposure in that spot? All day sun? Morning sun? Afternoon sun? Shade?
Lots of potential.
Do you want flowering?
Do you want some contrast color?
What mature size do you want?

ah ha - I just planted some of that invasive mint lol
...how about a hydrangea or one of those plum/cherry trees (the name escapes me), it flowers pink and the leaves are burgundy.

I'd like flowers and color- it gets too much sun for hygdrangea (I just put one in a shadier spot). It gets sun for most of the day- say full sun from late morning through the end of the day.
Mature size- I'm not sure- ideally, I'd get one plant for the space, so I guess something larger? I'm not sure. I've been in the house for 5 years and this is the first time I am paying any real attention to the garden. I once had a hibiscus, which I liked, but I killed it. I am willing to try again though.

I actually might move some to a pot- I liked having it- but it was amazing the way it totally took over!
