A different kind of WW Question...
So, I weighed in last night and lost 2 lbs and I went home to see if my digital scale was the same as what WW said. It was 6lbs difference !!!
when the instructor(not my normal one) wieghed me she said - no change THEN she hit some buttons on computer and said no I am sorry it is 2lbs that you lost.
my question is - I can't see the scale weight - it is behind there desk - can they alter it ? and manually hit in the weight.
things are running through my head last night - like they tell you you lost weight, so you'll come back !! HA HA - Is this far fetched? I just don't see why make scale would be SOO off?
I should let it go, but now I am obsessing over it !

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
did yuo weigh yourself before you left?
I would weigh myself before I went and after to check it out and it always varied slightly but not by 6 lbs.

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
no, I didnt before hand, I will try that next week. I just like to see the #'s on the scale, this ww location doesn't do that.

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
My ww location doesn't show the numbers either.. it's all behind the desk, but I can't imagine they'd change my weight... what would be the point?
I always weigh myself before I go so I'm "prepared" lol and it's always a 1 pound difference. My home scale says I weigh a pound more. No 2 scales are equal... maybe you need a new home scale

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
My scale at home always said I weighed 3-4 pounds more than the one at WW did. I don't think she'd change it. Congrats on losing!

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
I used to have a magic scale - I weighed 5 pounds less at home then I did at WW. As long as the changes were consistent, which they were, I didn't sweat it.
I can't imagine the WW person would change your weight. They may have been looking at your previous weight by mistake.

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
They will not alter your weight just to give you a loss. Each scale is different and yup some can be drastically different.
I would just know that you are losing and how much doesn't really matter as long as it keeps going in the right direction.

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
I have a crappy asss scale at home and it's actually on target with what they tell me at WW.
They won't change it just to make you think you lost!

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
I def. don't think WW's stretches the truth at all.
And to solve this problem, STOP weighing yourself at home. My leader is a firm believer in weighing multiple times a week at multiple locations will hinder and make you have false confidence or letdowns.
I only weigh-in 1 time a week and thats at weight watchers.

Re: A different kind of WW Question...
My WW scale has always been higher then my home scale--by 2 or 3 pds
I attribute some of it to the fact that at home I weight in naked first thing in the am and at WW I am clothed and it is after work.

I'm the same. I only weigh myself at weight watchers, never in between.
Even if I did weigh myself, I would only consider WW the "official" weight-whatever I weigh on another scale doesn't count unless it shows up at the WW weigh in.
