So, this fair maiden here went tanning today...

For the first time in YEARS.

I went because I have an event to go to this weekend (I never go regularly) and wanted to clear up some skin issues that broke out due to the heat & working out.

Anyway, how does ANYONE find tanning relaxing?!?

I felt like I was in a coffin.

I was afraid to look through those little eye stickers they gave me.

I could have sworn I thought I was going blind.

Then I started thinking, "Oh, ****..what if this thing goes on fire?" and what if someone has to run in here to save me and I'm naked?

Then the fan thing was blowing so much air near my head, I ended feeling dizzy & my nostrils all dried out.

So unpleasant.

I haven't gone since right around the time I got married and that was over 3 years ago.

I remember then enjoying it. I thought it was cool that you can control the fan, have some water spritzed at you and you can control the music right in there. Although I hate the feeling of being in a coffin when it closes.

thank goodness it's timed. My fear is the timer doesn't go off. That's why I like these new tanning bed. You see the countdown too.

I only get like that if there isn't any music. The place I usually go to (when I actually go) is run by young girls who BLAST the music so it drowns out my morbid thoughts. LOL. If there isn't any music, I think about Final Destination 2 when those two girls got locked in the beds and started to fry. Then the glass broke and they were laying directly on the bulbs. Chat Icon. Other than that, I get paranoid that my hair is going to get caught in the fan and rip off my scalp.

If there is music I feel totally relaxed. I LOVE the way it feels!! Chat Icon

Try spray tanning. The results are 100 times nicer IMO and you won't damage your skin.

OMG, I didn't think anyone else had sick thoughts like that!!! Chat Icon that is ALL I imagine when I am in there -- I havent been in years though so if I went NOW it would be even worse. You don't know how many times I would get out of the bed and make sure the place wasnt on fire and they forgot to get me LOL

The last time I went I was in stand up I had to keep opeing the door bc I was sending myself into a panice attack that the timer was off and I wouldn't know when to come out, that the building was on fire and I wouldn't know, etc etc So glad I am not the only crazy out there Chat Icon
