OK, what am I doing wrong?

I have been doing WW for a week now. Week 1 weigh in... 0 loss. What is that? I have changed up my diet SO much. I am not snacking on cookies & chips. I am controlling my portions. I am not drinking soda, only water. I started exercising. This is devastating for me. Chat Icon Yes, I have a thyroid condition, but my numbers are good right now woth my meds. I so don't want my kids to have the "fat mom:. I never went over my points a single day. Can anyone help??

Don't expect results overnight. Chat Icon But it sounds like you are doing the right things!!! In all honesty, I'm not familiar with WW, but with any dietary change, you have to give it some time. I think we are so used to seeing results instantly (change hair color, length, eye color, skin color, anything in our appearance) but the one area where it takes time is seeing changes in our bodies. Just give your body some time to adapt.

Remember, it takes time for weight to come on, it will take (sadly) longer to come off.

And have you been adding any exercise to the mix?

Anyway, my point is this...don't be so hard on yourself. You WILL see results. But not right away. Chat Icon

Dont worry you'll lose " One day at a time" Are you eating whole grain/whole wheat products? What i do is for breakfast i"ll have eggbeatesr and you can mix vegetables in it and eat "Lots" of fruit, Oranges, bananas, grapefruits.
For Lunch you can have a big salad with chicken or tunafish in the salad with light or ff salad dressing weigh everything out. Make sure you are counting your points. Also because maybe your exercising you could be building muscle weight, That weighs more than fat. For dinner have a nice dinner, I just started counting my points the day before i know what i'm going to eat and know how many points i'll have leftover if i want to have something extra for a snack for that day.

I always gain weight when I start exercising Chat Icon Chat Icon It usually takes me 2-3 weeks for the scale to start dropping. First the scale goes up. Then stays the same and then finally goes down. Chat Icon Chat Icon Just keep up the great work and you will see results.

Are you tracking? I know when I don't track somehow the program doesn't work as well for me. Once I start tracking and measuring everything, I get better results.

Also, I know what you are going through. Sometimes you can be perfect and still don't see the results. It's hard-so so so hard to keep with it when that happens but just know that sometimes there is a lag and you WILL see it at the scale. Try to focus on the big picture (again, I know this is really hard to do too).

Are you journaling everything? When I did WW, I found that to be key. It made me weigh & measure everything to make sure I had the right point count. Apparently my idea of a tablespoon and WW's idea of a tablespoon are a little different. Chat Icon By any chance is AF on the way? I once gained 3 pounds overnight because of that. Chat Icon

Keep watching your portions, drinking your water, excersising - you'll get there. See how it goes for another week and if you are still unsure, talk to your WW leader (bring your food journal). They have walked the walk and are there to help!!

Thanks ladies... I am tracking everything. I think the problem may be sodium. Instead of regular water, I have been drinking the Fruit 2 O's. I didn't realize just how much sodium I was having in a day.
