Seriously, Pottery Barn has some f'ing nerve.
Shipping charge AND Delivery charge-- it's an extra $120 bucks on a $600 item. That's 20% of the total cost!!

was it furniture? As much as I love some of their stuff, I found their shipping costs prohibitive.

yes-- a chair. It's really annoying... I know you pay a delivery charge for furniture, but it's so frustrating to get hit with two different fees.

I feel your pain! I was all ready to buy three pieces of furniture till I saw that. I saw identical pieces at JCPenney with a fraction of the shipping costs and bought from them instead.
I love PB's office furniture and I'm afraid I'm not going to find a suitable alternative once we start seriously looking.
What are you looking at? Maybe someone else has seen it cheaper elsewhere...

Yeah, it really is ridiculous! I have SO much stuff from them - especially pottery barn kids and it is the same story there. When I look at the items I just automatically assume I am going to pay hundreds more. I do think they factor it into their prices though b/c I find their prices to be pretty similar to other cheaper stores and it is just the shipping that makes it more - but, I find their stuff that I have to be very good quality and their customer service is excellent. BUT, it REALLY irks me to pay that much for shipping!

You can try looking at the pottery barn outlet in riverhead I know they carry a lot of furniture pieces there and then there would be no shipping charges, maybe you can call and ask if they carry something
