Progestrone Supp?

So I had a progestrone test today 6 dpo, and they said my Progestrone level was 7.7 so was slightly low. THey wante me to start taking 400 mg Progestrone Supp 2 times a day (is this normal to be so high?) and does anyone know the side effects of these? I got them from the Pharmacy, but didn't come with any medical "pamphlets" with it listing side effects (and Dr.s office is closed)

Totally normal. I didnt have any side effects, just "leakage" Put them in right before bed, and wear an LDP. GL !

I take 100 mg 2x a day. However, I had normal levels for progesterone.

I do get very bloated on progesterone.

two cycles ago i took the supps 400mg twice a day. i wont lie - the side effects weren't fun - the dripping from you-know-where, the bloating, eating everything - the worst part of it is that all the side effects are exactly the same as early pregnancy symptoms so you never really know which is a symptom and which is a side effect. so you have to be willing to not look into anything while you are on them.

I insert a suppository at night and when I get up in the morning I have a little leakage. Oh, and I also have increased sensitivity with intercourse, it just doesn't feel that pleasurable that part of the cycle when I'm using them.... Oh, and one more... I get nauseous sometimes in the morning... I'm prety sure it's from the suppositories cause it only happens during the second half of my cycle

I had leakage, bloating, ect.

I don't remember my dose, but I was on injections of progesterone for a long time before moving to suppositories. Suppositories are MUCH better.

i was on 200 mg 4 times a day. I had leakage but didnt really notice any other symptons. good luck

I just started 200mg 2x a day yesterday. I was looking online, because I didn't "get" how it would work. But, they seem to go in easily enough. I've been told (TMI) to push them up as far as you can and if you have the opportunity to lie down for 30 minutes it will help. I also know that you can get a little irritated after a while on them, so I'm expecting that. Interesting from other ppl I was starving all day yesterday. I don't get that from PIO. Must be the supp. For me, its so much better than the IM shot because DH wont do it and I can't do it myself. So I've had a nurse come in past cycles. So I feel better not dragging someone out at 9pm at night. A little control back. Good luck with them.

I don't remember the dosage of mine, but I used them 2x a day. the bigges s/e for me was the messiness.
Wear a pantyliner.
