Injectables

Hi Girls- I am starting my first round of injectables later and so nervous. I am taking gonal-f with femara. Have any of you girls done this? What were your side effects? Did you take the meds at the same time everyday? Thx!

I used the Follistim Pen and AQ cartridge at night. Yes, I did it the same time each night. Its a sub q needle so it does not hurt. Just alternate sides each night to avoid bruising. I had headaches from the follistim, but that was it.

Re: Injectables

I was on Gonal-F injections for nearly 20 days. They started me off at the lowest possible dosage and just bumped it up from there. My doctor told me to inject between 5-9pm, so as long as you stay within the same timeframe each day, you should be all set!! Good Luck!!!

ETA: I was bloated and hormonal during the time I was on the meds.

This. I popped a few tylenol and i was FINE. Everyone is nervous at first, but honestly the anxiety of it is the worst part...after the first 2 or 3 shots you will be a pro! The needle is tiny -you can barely feel it, but if you want to, numb the area with some ice...before and after, that will help with bruising too! GL!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon
