iui/ivf
Hi girls so I am a relatively new poster but I have been reading all your posts for months. So once again this cycle was a bust and now we are onto ivf. I am fortunate that my insurance company covers it 100 percent. My question is girls that went from iui to ivf was it hard to make the switch? What was your first month doing ivf like? I am so nervous for the retrivals and transfers?

Re: iui/ivf
The meds took a toll on me, you are obviously taking higher doses to get more eggs. So I was very emotional and had some mood swings during stims. The procedures were really not as bad as I thought they would be. The ER is really the best sleep you will have. And when you wake up you get the news of how many eggs were retrieved. The transfer is not bad at all. It's pretty similar to having an IUI.
Don't let it all overwhelm you. Ask questions. Good luck!

Re: iui/ivf
I had headaches on lupron and some bloating on menopur, but other than that there weren't any side effects from the stimming. My ER wasn't painful. I just had some very mild cramping afterward.
It's more stressful before you go through it because of the unknown. But it's definitely doable! Good luck!!
