When you wash spinach/mixed greens.....
When you wash spinach or mixed greens and blot it with a paper towel, do you find it turns the paper towel green? Seems this happens no matter how well I think I wash it which always makes me feel like I'm not cleaning it well enough... and now that I'm pregnant I'm trying to be extra careful!
TIA!

Yes it does turn it a bit green, I never thought that meant it wasnt clean enough though.
As long as the dirt/sand is off, its clean IMO

I think that since spinach has a lot of chlorophyll, it will do that. i mean, if you soak it, the water takes on a green tint. Doesn't mean it isn't clean. It's just the nature of the plant. Like a PP said, just get the dirt and sand off. I don't even blot, I use the spinner.
