"Oh, someone must have put the sale sign there by accident."
   
This happened to me in Macy's the last time I was there. I can see if there was one thing there but there were at least a dozen bags on three racks with signs on all three.
I didn't bother to fight but I was really  .

I am under the impression that if a sign is posted and there is not a specific exclusion like dates that the sale is good for, the store has to honor the posted sale. I know this is true in Stop & Shop and it's free if it scans incorrectly.

no- it has to scan that price
if it's scans that price- they have to honor it- not over a sign b/c a customer could move the signs etc

sometimes if you fight they'll give you the sale price.. but sometimes you can tell if it really was a mistake and you know you're not going to get anywhere with it
don't you hate when that happens?
