Ok so I have decided that I MUST do something about losing some weight and I need help
I would LOVE to lose a good 25 pounds....I had DD 2 years ago and I still look 6 months pregnant. I NEED to get rid of my belly...when I get dressed everyday its pretty depressing so I am looking for any Help, advice or whatever...
I take Yoga once a week for an hour and a half, I am gonna start taking a Zumba class (tomorrow) once a week. I have a treadmill and my pool should be open in a few weeks.
When is the best time to exercise? What are some of the things I should be eating...I eat alot of salad, no fried foods and fast food maybe 2 times a month if that....
HELP

I felt the same way you do. I hated looking at myself and to make matters worse my shower door is mirrored . So I had to look at it all shower long. I take 25minutes a day and have me time. I do 30 day shred in that time. Ds is your dd's age and he does it with me while my dd is napping or in her exersaucer. I do it anytime of day. I just make sure I get it in. I also walk with the kids if its nice out. I eat low sugar oatmeal for breakfast, peanut butter on whole wheat for lunch and usually chicken or pasta for dinner. Snacks include fruit, almonds, string cheese, pretzels and 94%ff popcorn. I have cut out cookies, candy and fried foods. So far I have lost 5lbs in 3 weeks. Its not flying off but I am nursing so I am only allowed to lose 2lbs a week max. Once your cloths start fitting looser and the scale goes down it is easy to stay motivated. There is a lose 10lbs by July 4 group on this board if you are looking for support

Thank you!!.. I work FT so Im thinking Night time is gonna be the best time for me to work out. I have 30 day shred, maybe I should break that out along with the Zumba and Yoga....It takes a lot for me to get motivated bc I am so tired from work but the more I look in the mirror that more I get depressed...Thanks for your post and I will check out that 10lbs by july thread to.

Cardio, cardio, cardio
It is nice out, grab a friend, your DC's stroller, whatever and get walking!
Zumba is A LOT of fun. Yoga is great for strength and toning but cardio is what really makes you lose.
I do not know your schedule but I find if I can I like to exercise in the morning, get it done and then you can get on with your day.
As far as eating, I recently joined WW bc so many people I knew had such great success. I can attest to the fact that if you follow the program, it works! I recommend it bc it really isn't a "diet" per se but more like a lifestyle change.
GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT

For eating advice, I would recommend the WW program. It really works, I know going to the meetings every weeks keeps me on program. It's just a common sense approach to eating.
As for exercise-like someone said, cardio gives you the biggest bang for your buck initially, and adding strength training builds up your metabolism etc over time.
I like to exercise in the morning whenever possible, it starts my day off right but it is hard to get up early.
I've been taking walks at work now that the weather is nice. I walk 2 miles about 4 times a week.

Walk everywhere! Park your car further away from the entrance to a building. If you're heading to CVS and it's not far away, walk! Go to the park and walk with you DC. You'd be surprised how many extra steps you take and how much this attributes to your weightloss.
