Injectibles and bruising

Is it normal to have a lot of bruising at the injection site(s)? My stomach is covered with disgusting bruises and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Re: Injectibles and bruising

it happens sometimes. i did three injectable cycles and only had the bruising at the end of the second cycle. i have NO idea why it bruised then.. i didnt have it before that or after. i had done 21 days of stims and it only bruised during the last three days of stimming and from the trigger.

but i remember it being so nasty - it looked like i got beat up. i had huge black and blues all over my stomach. took about 2 weeks to go away Chat Icon . at least its not bikini season yet Chat Icon !!

i dont think you are doing anything wrong - sometimes it just bruises and sometimes it doesnt.

It sometimes happened, just try to use a different spot and pull out the needle from the skin quickly.

It has not happen to me yet. But have heard "tips" ... icing the area before AND after, never using the same exact spot for injection, and holding pressure with a gauze right after will help. Good luck!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Injectibles and bruising

Not on Lovenox but name just about any other IF drug and I'm pretty sure I am or have injected it in the last 5 weeks. I guess where I am going wrong is not icing after. I don't have a bruise-free area anywhere around my bellybutton. It really looks bad

Believe me, I am not lacking in the belly fat dept! Right now, my stomach looks like a big bruised marshmallow. (yes, my skin's that white where it's not bruised. Attractive.)

Re: Injectibles and bruising

I haven't had bruising from my injections. Just alittle in my upper arm from my ganirelix. I am majorly bruised from bloodwork. 11 days in a row!

i hardly ever had bruising with gonal-f....

only when i hit a blood vessel or whatever and had bleeding!

i never iced before or anything like that... i think with lovenox a lot of people have bruising!

Re: Injectibles and bruising

i had bruising when switching sides. I could hit one side better than the other.. Asked the re if it was ok to only inject on one side and they said yes.

My bruising was from gonal f. menopur i had to take in the rear. I minimal bruises from lovenox. just dont rub the site after the shots. most of my bruises were smaller than a quarter and lovenox bruises were about the size of a pencil eraser.
