Back from the hospital
Wednesday afternoon I felt 2 contractions, and thought they were Braxton Hicks. Went to my doctor's appoinment and she did an internal and said that the baby's head is very low and she wants to set up a sono tomorrow to see the cervix length. Thursday morning went to the hospital, had the sono and was told that I was 1 centimeter dilated and 90% effaced. I was sent upstairs to the labor and delivery floor and put in observation. The doctors decided to admit me and give me steroid shots for the baby to help kick start the lungs- I was 32 weeks, and 34 weeks is the cutoff for lung development. Then all hell breaks loose, the heart monitor says that the baby's heart decelerated, and all these doctors come running, ready to open me up and do a C-section. Scarcest moment of my life. Fortunelty, the heart rate came back up, and I spent Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in the hospital getting steroids for the baby and medicine to stop contractions. I am on bed rest, and was told that I will proably have a premature baby, but with excellent chances. I am trying to remain calm, but I am so scared right now. I miss my mom so much (it's been a month since she passed). I don't want anything to happen to my baby. Please pray for us.

 Please take it easy and try not to stress. Think positive for the baby. I'm sure your mom is looking down and watching over you and baby.

Try not to stress. A baby born at 33-34 weeks will be fine. I had a similar scare around that time. You will be in my thoughts and prayers

Take lots of rest and even though its hard do your best to try not to worry. That is best for the baby.
I will be praying that your little one stays in a little bit longer.

I can only imagine how stressful it is for you right now. Try and stay calm (trust me on this I can relate as I have been waiting 10 days for a sono to see if our bean is ok!)
One of my friends shared with me something beautiful when i was most freaked out after last talking to my ob - my dh's mom passed away and we are often sad she will never get to meet the baby - but my friend said she looks at it as if our baby is lucky to have someone watching over her and that we should take pride in the fact dh's mom is taking care of her....(my friend lost her dad before her daughter was born!) - thought maybe you could take peace in this right now too!
