Do you do your own gardening or

do you have a landscaper do it? For me it's so much easier to have the landscaper do it b/c I can't even be outside to long between April-May due to being allergic to everything. I am going to go with a friend of ours who does this for a living to a nursery so that we can pick out some new stuff. What types of plants, trees and or flowers are a must in your front and backyard?

I do all the yard work. I hate it!!!!! I would hire a landscaper before I would hire a cleaning lady. At least to mow the lawn.

For plants, because I have big planting beds, I only planted low maintenance either evergreen or perenuals. Weeding is a big job in itself. I will try some annuals from seeds this year. It just gets too expensive to buy annuals and it's so much more work on top of what I do in the yard already.

I also have a veggie garden in the Summer.

I also only plant low maintenance plants/shrubs. Check out my "Gardening" album for pics and names of plants. I make sure we have 3-4 inches of mulch down so that I don't have to weed too much. And I only buy some annuals for pots that we put on the stood and on the patio in the backyard. We try to keep it simple.

I live in a co-op so teh lawn & busehs are taken are of by landscapers, but I do have a garden that I take care of.

I planted impatiens in the beginging, now I am tryign to andd perrenials, but they don't always thrive, so I fill in with impatiens.

There is a commuanl area where you can "rent" a veggieplot, DH wants to get on the waiting lsit for that. I wudl just grow basil all the time!
