Sesame Place
DH and I are trying to plan a trip with friends, and their 2 kids to sesame place...
Is it a waste to bring Ryan there??? I looked on the website, and the water area, the shows and characters, seem like alot to me... but I know there is still alot he (and one of their daughters) wont be able to do....
The kids will be 3yr, 8 months, and 1 yr.
Should we skip out on this trip... or go????
Also- my boss suggested dutch wonderland instead of sesame place.... do you think thats a better idea... TIA

Re: Sesame Place
The 3 year old will enjoy it there, but Ryan and the 1 year old wont be able to do alot, Dutch wonderland is great, my parents use to take me and my sister there when we were little and we had a great time, lots of kiddie rides.

Re: Sesame Place
I heard Dutch Wonderland is great. I heard it is very clean and great for the younger ones. DD is 2 and we were going to do Sesame Place but I think we are going to do Dutch Wonderland instead.

Re: Sesame Place
I have never been to DW, but I love sesame place. If Ryan isnt walking there wont be much for him to do. IF he is walking there are a few wading pools and a couple little play grounds he could go to. BUt yeah, its not much.

Re: Sesame Place
From what I have been hearing about the two places DW seems like the better choice for younger children.

Re: Sesame Place
We brought my daughter to sesame when she was 4 onths and she LOVED it ( my other daughter was 3), I think it is very stimulating, the music, the water, the characters, it is like a smaller version of Disney, just don't go on a weekend, go Mon, Tues, Wed, or Thurs.

Re: Sesame Place
Ive been to both a few times.. there is MUCH more at DW for a 1 year old then sesame. Really the only thing at Sesame is the big pool of shallow water and all the water things for the kids to play in.. Its lots of fun but at DW there are all little baby rides and stuff. Defintley do both eventually, but if you just must pick one for now DW is really nice.
We tie DW into one trip with Hershey park ( its about a 40 minute drive)

Re: Sesame Place
we're going to Hershey and DW next week. You can search for another response I wrote on this same topic. I think we jsut went to Sesame on a bad day a few yrs ago. My son was 20m, it was WAYY overcrowded with overgrown kids (teens) who hogged up the park and took over with no etiquette whatsoever
I vote for DW ten times, although it made me sad that we didnt LOVE sesame place.
he did have fun seeing the characters, and teh shows, but that was it. DW, were dying to go back

We took our older daughter to Sesame Place last year when she was almost a year and a half and she LOVED it! Me and DH enjoyed ourselves also.

Re: Sesame Place
We just got back from Hershey Park this weekend and Justin is 6 1/2 months old and had a blast. They rate the rides from 1-5 based on what is appropriate for each age level. I really wasn't planning on taking him on any rides, but he went on a bunch and loved them. There is so much to do at these places besides just the rides. We passed by Dutch Wonderland, but didn't get to go this time.
