Frustrated
I am getting really frustrated. I have been running about 2 miles 3-4 times a week, eating well for a little over a month and have not lost a pound! I'm this close to just buying some sort of diet pill. I'm at a loss. Last year I lost 20 pounds just by eating different with no exercise, I gained the weight back bc of birth control pills Im on and I just cant shed the weight now and I'm not quite ready to go off bcp. I cannot believe how hard this is for me this time

Re: Frustrated
Have you had your thyroid checked. Also do you have PCOS. Before I had my son I was working out 7 days a week and eating very well. I could not lose any weight thanks to pcos. I went on metformin and the weight flew off. If you are not losing weight and most importantly your clothes are not fitting different you should consult your doctor. If your clothes are fitting looser then maybe you are just gaining muscle and that's why the scale isn't moving. Good luck

Re: Frustrated
2 miles 3-4 times a week is only 600-800 calories. 3500 calories is a pound, so it would take at least a month to lose by just running that way.
the problem is if you increase milage, you also increase appetite. it's a double edged sword sometimes.

I know and that makes it tough. I am slowly creeping up in mileage and I'm managing not to eat extra. The hardest part is just that I used to lose weight no problem just by eating differently and now it's not the case.

Re: Frustrated
I was on the ortho evra patch last year and no matter what I did, I could not lose one pound (and gained 20 while on it). As soon as I got off of it the weight came off quickly. I tried a couple of kinds of bc until i found one that didn't change my appetite. I'm on ortho tri cyclen now.
