Re: tick
my dogs have had tons of ticks since we live in a wooded area...just keep an eye on the area & if you see anything abnormal then contact the vet!

Re: tick
not sure what to do if some is still there, but if you're nervous maybe call the vet and see if they say not to worry.
If your dog ever gets another one I read that if you put a squirt of soft soap (any liquid soap or vaseline) on a cotton ball and put it over the tick it will supposedly let go since it is suffocating. That way you get the whole thing off.

Re: tick
I took her to the vet but the vet wasnt in today so the tech looked at it they tried to get whatever was left out but she didnt even think it was the full head. so im bringing my dog back to see the vet tomorrow morning.
i bought Vaseline & alcohol today . I used nail polish remover and it didnt do anything to knock out the tick. next time ill be more prepared-that or i wont attempt to take it out!!
