I am clueless
What is the best/easiest way to research appliances? Isn't there a consumer's report site I could go on? It is a little overwhelming. First, we have to buy a washer and dryer. My DH wants the Whirlpool Duet front-loading kind, but they are so expensive. He thinks they will be the most energy efficient though. However, he hasn't really researched anything.

I like the ConsumerSearch website. They compile info from several product review sources, often including Consumers Report, and they give info on the top picks with some good pros and cons info.
You can enter a general category like Washing Machine to get feedback on the category, or try entering a specific brand and model to see if they give detail on that. I've always used it when I'm starting a general search to help narrow down some options.

I was just checking the site. If you click on the Washing Machine link it takes you to the info. Check out the "arrows" on the top for the fast answers and the full reviews too.
