UPDATE..How long did it take you to hear back from the homeowner after you sent in your offer?

..I haven't yet & the anticipation is killing me....

we saw the house again today...and my RE called around 4:30 and left a message saying that she had an offer (but didn't say the amount)

I know it hasn't been long...but just curious.

UPDATE: she called back and had a nice long talk with my RE...she is considering the first # I threw out and will get back.

I'm so excited! Hope this turns out well!

well, I will tell you-- we are getting offers and I am not sure how long it took our agent to call us with them... but the turnaround time to respond thus far has probably been 24 to 48 hours depending on what we need to go back with.

We have one we need to respond to, and I will like to hold off for as many days as we can because things have been coming in quickly for us, and we don't even have the time to review with each other since DH is very busy at work and isn't even home yet tonight. OR even look at houses for ourselves. But-- every buyer is different in their circumstances.

I guess I just figured if you're selling, don't you want to hear the offer ASAP? to either counteroffer or tell them to F off, KWIM?

This may be tricky...the house I love..it's the listing agent's own home...

but she seems really nice & I love her home, so fingers crossed...

Our first offer, they made a counter offer right away within a few hours. Then we countered back, and didn't hear back for about a day and a half. They countered back with a final offer which we accepted. The whole thing was about 2 days but it felt like much longer LOL
