If you WALK on a treadmill....

what speed are you usually walking at and do you use the incline?

Usually if I walk it's at a lower speed 3.5/4.0 on a 8/10 incline. If it's a higher incline I use a lower speed and feel much more of a burn.

Thanks and how long do you walk for?

Is it important to use the incline?

I have been walking 2 miles using a 2.5 incline and 4.5 speed - is this redundant for weigh loss?

When walking, I do anywhere from 3.2 to 4MPH and use the incline between 5 and 10. I vary the incline and speed often.

If walking flat, I like 3.5.

If walking on an incline then 3.7 or 3.8. I like inclines of 6, 7, 8 or higher!

Thanks....is the incline better for toning or getting rid of flab? I definitely dont want to tone what is thereChat Icon I want to lose it first then tone the better part!! is that possible?

I switch up between walking/running on the treadmill. The days that I just walk I do a preset workout I set for 40-45minutes up to 6 incline and the speed and incline changes every few minutes. I've noticed the higher the incline the lower the speed at first.

The days where I do intervals of walk/run. I increase the speeds between 5.2-5.8 and then when walk I drop it to 3.8-4.0.
