A california king is 4" or so more narrow but 4" or so longer, we have one since DH is so tall

Yea...we have a cal king too, we needed the length since DH is 6'9"...and he still kinda hangs off a little, but not as bad.

I think a Cal King is an actual square, right?
If you're deciding between the two, keep in mind how much sheets/bedding cost and if they're easy to find. I'm not sure if Cal King bedding is as easy to come by and it might be $$$$. (Not speaking from experience, just something to maybe think about)
