Do you or did you use one? If so do you use it all the time or just when the baby is sick?

I am debating putting one on my registry.
Thanks!Chat Icon

Re: Is a Humidifier necessary?

I used it throughout the winter. Even though my heating system has a humidifier the air still feels dry. It is good to have Chat Icon

We just used it when she was sick. We live about a block away from the canals, so the air seems pretty damp most of the time anyway.

I didn't register for one but wound up buying one when he got sick a few months back. I used it all winter - I just stopped this week. It worked great for the dryness and the white noise helped him sleep - lol.

I never used one. I had no idea that this many people did.

Absolutely a neccesity in my opinion. A cool mist humidier is great for colds but is essential for croup & RSV (which I know all too well about). We use ours at night in the winter. Dry heat is not good for babies.

Hope this helps.

yes, necessary. You will find out when the baby gets the first cold and you don't have one.
