spinoff to being motivated
what if what you want to be motivated for is a bit vague and off into the future?
so as not to be vague in my question: i would love to do boudoir portraits. my weight isn't where i want it to be, yet... and i'm SOFT. how can i turn this into a "goal" that will make me do something?

I would buy a nice piece of lingerie, maybe a corset, in your goal size. That way, you have something that you can keep trying on, and see your progress. Then you can use it for the photo shoot.

Re: spinoff to being motivated
What about setting more concrete mini-goals along the way that will progressively get you closer to the big goal?
Like... "In order to feel ready for boudoir portraits, I'd like to specifically achieve X, Y, and Z (for example, lose 5 lbs, tone up my abs, and work on my triceps)." And then take those individual, specific goals and work towards those every week instead of the far off vague goal?
