Hydroseeding - Anyone?
Has anyone ever had this done or know anything about it? Does this kind of grass grow quick and in any type soil? Any info would be great. Thanks!

Never heard of it before so I looked it up. I wonder if that is the same stuff that they use on the side of parkways on LI? That stuff works FAST. Really impressive.

I was thinking the same thing. Just would love to hear more about it. Hopefully someone has some info.  I would love for our grass to grow that fast after we are finished with our backyard patio.

Yeah that's hydro-seeding. Basically they come with a truck and spray the area. It looks like it is spray painted. My parents had it done. The grass grew in fast and thick. It looked just as good as the sod in the back just cheaper.

Can you get the number? My parents need grass since I finished the retaining wall and we finished planting.

Someone in my neighborhood just did this but it wasn't sprayed on. There were perfect rectangles, like they put something down on a sheet. I'm always amazed at how fast it grows!! Good luck with your research.

does anyone have any company names that they know do this? Price per square foot? I'm not sure what kind of companies to call for this sort of thing. anyone know?

I wouldn't recommend the company. I was happy at the time with them, but they said they would come back and fill more if it needed it.....guess what they never returned my calls, so they don't get my recommendation to others now. Sorry! FM SweetCin, I know she had her backyard regraded last year or the year before and they were happy with the contractor. GL!

I wonder if you can buy stuff at home depot or lowes or even a good garden center and DIY. It can't be that hard, its just a matter of getting your hands on it.
