*Done, Thanks everyone!* Need urgent paint help, has anyone used any of these??

DH works in construction and is having some people he works with paint the house for us on Thursday and Friday, we close on Wednesday. The "paint guy" who is picking up the paint needs to know tomorrow morning what colors we want!!! He's a BM guy so only BM paints. Of course DH has been ZERO help in this so I picked up a bunch of strips myself for various rooms, of which he likes none except for the bedroom. Now, keep in mind we have no furniture yet so I'm looking for neutral.

So far our bedroom is going to be Waynesboro Taupe. I like taupe and would like to carry it through the house...but not the same taupe. Something lighter I think...I need a kitchen color (cabinets now are light/medium wood, appliances are white-this will be changed at some point, just not anytime soon), family room, dining room, and formal living room. If it matters, it's a center hall colonial, walk in and DR is on right, kitchen behind it, FLR on left, family room behind that. I want them all to flow. Crap and I guess I need a color for the entry way and stairwell. Ugh, I'm so screwed...

Could be greenish based but not green, gray based (I like gray)...sandy, I'd like to stay away from yellowy neutrals. I THINK I like London Fog, Himalayan Trek, Frosted Toffee, Chocolate Mousse, Hampshire Taupe, Shabby Chic....along those lines...

Has anyone used any of these? Or have any other suggestions??

I have BM Muslin in my LR and everyone comments on how much they like the paint color!

We just went through BM color obsession a month ago when we had most of our main floor repainted. Providence Olive is a great medium grayish-green. We did our foyer that color and it's rich, but not overpowering.

Someone already mentioned Lenox Tan--LOVE this color. It's warm and goes with absolutely anything. Google image search them and a lot of room pics will come up.
Have fun!

Loving the Lenox Tan and Muslin online, thanks ladies! I also love Manchester Tan, I think it's a little more muted than the Lenox which might be better.

I have till 1 pm now so I'm still deciding.

I like it too, it's sooooo close to the Muslin, I can't tell the difference so I'm torn.

it took us weeks to pick paint colors. We didn't actually paint until we'd had the house for a few weeks and had the paint chips posted everywhere and saw it in different lights etc.

unless you have to move in this weekend, can you hold off on painting until you guys have had a chance to think about it a little more? seems like you're rushing into it and just picking because you have to.. not because they're colors you know you want

sorry..

We're moving in on Monday, but my DH has to work all weekend, actually the only day he has off is tomorrow for the closing and then he works Thursday to Sunday. We live in the city still so it's not easy to get out there between now and Monday to compare colors...it suucks. And he's getting the paint almost free, today, so I need to pull the trigger already. I'm so mad but I have no choice really. I guess I'll repaint a couple of rooms myself later on if I find I'm not happy.Chat Icon
