First Dr's appointment
I have my first appointment on Tuesday. What should I expect? Will I be throughly poked and proded? Do they do an ultra sound on the first visit? Should DH bother coming?

For my first appt they took blood and did an internal sonogram.

My Dr. did an internal ultra sound and took blood. I was 8 weeks when I went.
Congrats and let us know how it goes.

My appointment was a pap and exam. They did not have sono equipment there. I had to go somewhere else for that.

our dr did an internal ultra sound as well. DH went, and he really was happy he did. I'd call and check with your dr as to what they will be doing. any hope of pictures or seeing the baby, try to get your DH to go if he can. :)

My dh didn't come to the first appt. - so I was allowed to come back the next week for a sono with him...it was surreal and we loved it!

My first was an exam and pap, and the following week appt just for the internal sonogram. good luck!!!!!

I had an internal sono. If everything looks good, they will probably do a urine sample and lots of blood work.
