Using blender as a food processor?

This is such a dumb question....

I do not own a food processor (We havethe magic buillet thing that stinks and does not work)

Anyway can I put ingredients into my blender and have the same outcome as a food processor would?

TIA

No, the only one that might give similar results is the dough hook to the dough attachment in the food processor. The primary function of the food processor is to dice things up the primary function of a blender is to mush things together.

Re: Using blender as a food processor?

You can use your food processor as a blender though. I had the mini-prep but I really longed for the big boy. Mini prep cannot fit pie crusts, an awesome carrot cake recipe I have, etc. The big food processor had a shedder for cheese/ carrots that takes seconds to use. It also has a slicer attachment.

Mini prep is great for-pesto, salsa & guacamole.
