sorry for all the bathroom questions but we don't know too much about these things

I was going to get a $99 bath tub from home depot but I've been hearing that cast iron is the only thing that really lasts. Anyone know if that's true. And is there anywhere else to get an affordable bathtub besides Home Depot or Lowes ?
