Can someone talk to me about the row machine?
I have horrible shin splints, so I stopped running and have been walking on the treadmill at a 6.5 incline at 3.5 speed, then i do the stair climber.
Well my lower back has been killing me and I think it's because I'm putting to much strain on my back.
I am considering trying the row machine tonight but I honestly don't know what the benefits are or how to even use it properly

i can't say i've used it but i do know that it does benefit your whole body - upper and lower - and it's good cardio. maybe ask one of the trainers at your gym to show you how to use it? i'd feel the same way - I'm clueless.

I use it to get my heart rate moving. I find it very challenging so I have added it into one of my workouts. I find it works my arms, shoulders and back while getting my heart rate way up there.
I find it much easier to do with workout gloves. You can make it easy or hard.. all depends on how fast you go!

Is it a good calorie burner? I didn't do it tonight. I took my incline down and speed walked for 2, jogged 3 and sprinted for 1..for 40 minutes...let's see how my shins AND back feel tomorrow....
