Water, water, water, bananas (or anything else with potassium). I was told that it's a sign of low potassium.

Good thing I am just starting to be able to eat fruit again. I will eat a banana a day- thank you!

And when you do get one, put your foot on the floor, or have someone push against your foot. Don't try to massage it out, that won't work. Chat Icon

Yes I knew that! I used to get them from being dehydrated after "going out." Chat Icon Luckily we have hard wood in the bedroom so I put it right down and it immediately went away! Thanks!

oHHHHHH, that must be what I felt in the arch of my foot while I was driving, OMG it hurt so bad, I was going to pull over. So I need to eat more bananas? oh boy then I really wont be able to go to the bathroom. I was going to have my DH massage it but I was so scared for him to touch it and then set it off.

next time it happens just stand up immediately and put your foot flat on the floor...

how to prevent them? no clue. but so far i've only had a handful and they have managed to disappear for a while now (knock on wood).
