fatigue w/ metformin?
I really did think I was imagining things... but the last 3 nights I took Metformin I have literally conked out within the hour by like 10pm..... which is SO not like me!!
Anyone else experience fatigue on Metformin? I'm usually such a night person... but these last 3 nights I've been and just CAN'T move!

Hey Penny Cat! I don't have experience with metformin but i did look it up for you on Drugs.com and out of the 5 million side effects, they did mention fatigue but it wasn't on the top of the list. Are you in your 2ww?

Re: fatigue w/ metformin?
I've been on Met for probably 2 months now and haven't noticed it consistently, but there have been a few nights where I went to bed really early. I don't think it's related to the Met though because it was only a few nights. Maybe it's a PG symptom for you? Or could just be stress.

Re: fatigue w/ metformin?
Thanks ladies.... hmm it's definitely not a pregnancy sign because I'm not in the 2ww yet!! I'm on a medicated cycle with injections though- but those never tired me out like this before!
I just started metformin on Monday night. I called the dr's office to ask if this is a normal side effect but haven't heard back yet. I'll update with what I find out!!

I was on it nearly 2 years ago but I do vaguely recall being fatigued when on it.

I'm a night owl too and I've definately noticed that I conk out early now that I'm taking the Met, its supposed to make your body utilized insulin and metabolize sugar more efficiently so maybe my usual insomnia had to do with insulin resistence? who knows I'm having some GI issues aswell. I'm just thinking its still only been two weeks or so since I started so maybe it will regulate in a while. Hope you feel good!!!!
