lubrication for ultrasound

when you go in for a u/s, do they usually lubricate the u/s monitor? I'm now sort of worried because my RE wants me to go in tomorrow morning for a u/s to see if i'm overstimulated and i'm afraid that the lubricant won't be very friendly to the embryos that i'll be transfering 4 hours after the u/s. Am I over thinking it?

Re: lubrication for ultrasound

Don't worry. The lubricant is fine-they always use it for all iuis. The transfer is much easier then the retrieval so don't worry. Just keep drinking lots of water if you think you are overstimulated. Good luck!! You are almost there!!!Now the hard part starts-the 2ww!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks so much! I just came back from my morning monitoring and my RE also said that it's absolutely fine.
