Progesteron shots....
Are they suppose to make your butt feel sore?! I started my first injection last night and I actually didn't really feel the needle but only a pinch when DH did it. This morning I woke up to a sore behind! AHHHHHH!! Anyone else with me on this?

Did you massage the area after the shot and put a warm compress on it? that should help with that. Its an oil, so if you don't do anything it will sit under your skin like a lump. I use one of those microwave heat pads.

yeah they do hurt... but compresses do help afterward.

Yup... they are the absolute worst.
I did every trick in the book, but had to be on them for a long time. It's been months & my butt still hurts & has numb spots.
Also, get some neosporin to place on butt after about a week or so (mine started getting inflamed/local infection).

Make sure you don't contract your muscle when you do the shot. Also, some people ice beforehand (I did for awhile). But then you REALLY have to rub afterwards to spread the oil out. So I don't recommend icing beforehand.... I felt SO much better when I didn't ice at all, did the shot and then put heat on the spot, in addition to rubbing the area too.

Wait one step further...a friend on another board uses a rolling pin to massage her butt. I'm not kidding. I don't even think I could hold mine up long enough without an arm ache...

OMG...that's hilarious and kind of sounds like it'll make my butt feel better too! Although, i"m not sure if I'll be flexible enough to roll my butt!!

i had pains a month after i stopped using them!!! Definately massage the area and apply ice before... worked a little for me
