Airport shuttles in Vegas
I'm trying to figure out how we are going to get from the airport in Vegas to the MGM Grand where we are staying. Has anyone had any experience taking a shuttle? Are we better off paying for a cab? I know the hotel is pretty close to the airport, but I've heard cabs are very pricey in Vegas. The shuttle is $12 each round trip, but there are a lot of bad reviews for pretty much every company.
Anyone have any advice?

Re: Airport shuttles in Vegas
We just went and we stayed in MGM. The cab ride to the airport was, I believe, $12. I don't think the shuttle goes all the way to the airport, you need to get on the bus afterwards, but I am not sure about that.
We used the shuttle to get around the strip a lot and it was great, but for the airport-take a cab!

Thank you so much. Is it easy to grab a cab outside the airport? We don't want to waste a lot of time waiting around b/c we only have one day in Vegas before we fly to California the next day.
How was the MGM?

Re: Airport shuttles in Vegas
i have used the shuttle to and from the airport twice when in Las Vegas. Both times i have had no problem. and the shuttle takes you directly to your airline, you don't need to take another bus.

How was the MGM?
The cab are waiting right outside with an usher leading you to the line and to your cab- I was very impressed with how nice and well managed Vegas airport is.
MGM was good. Nothing overly fancy, but a nicely decorated room with a great big bathroom and shower (love those ), very clean. The one problem with them that they are the biggest hotel on the trip, with over 5000 rooms--while the others average 1500 to 3500--and it takes a while to get to where you want to go.
There are some good restaurants on premises-Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill was delicious and very convenient for late dinner when my flight got to Vegas 10 hours later than it was suppose to.
We were also pleasantly surprised with the Grand Wok and sushi bar-NYC level sushi and fantastic Thai food, of all things!
Crazy Horse show at MGM is a beautiful show, if you have no evening plans yet. You can get good deals on tickets at the many disounted ticket booths on the strip- we got ours in one right next to the M&M world, with a huge yellow M&m outside, can't miss it
