Any photos of rooms with mixed wood?

We are getting a new (bigger) mattress and therefore need to get a new bed. It is impossible to match the current bedroom furniture we have so I was thinking of buying a bed in a complementery color, probably a little darker. Would this look odd? Any photos of rooms with furniture with different shades of wood? I was also thinking an upholstered bed but DH is set on wood bed. I currently have a wrought iron bed and want a different look now. TIA!

why don't you get one of those nice upholstered headboards OR a metal frame bed?

We have a metal bed now - want something different this time. I want the upholstered bed and I'm trying to talk DH into it, but in the meantime I'm trying to consider his choice of a wood bed.
