More ba-ba less solids????

He is no longer interested in solids.... For the most part he only wants what Im eating....

I wouldnt have a problem with giving him some finger foods, but he is a total gagger.... yes even on mashed potatoes...Chat Icon So Im really limited on what I can give him...

He never finishes his cereal and fruit in the morning...

He went from taking a whole jar of veg for lunch to only taking half...

And @ dinner he use to eat 3 jars (one of a meat/veg dinner and the other fruit w/ a little cereal) and he is relly only taking one....

He did become totally attached to his bottle lately.... Ryan use to hate his bottle... and only take a 6oz bottle- if that.... and now he is downing 8oz and still wanting more....

I dont know if it all has to do with teething... if he's just sick of solids???

Im not too worried because he is getting @ least 32oz of formula a day... and is getting an OK amount of solids in.... but I would like to get him eating a little more solids...

Anyone have this exp? What should I do???

I really dont wanna decrease his formula intake...since I feel better that he is making up for the lesser of what he is eating....

Re: More ba-ba less solids????

Emily increased her formula intake about 3 weeks ago considerably (from about 18-21 oz/day back up to around 26-28 oz/day) and was refusing solids so we started giving her some table foods because she seemed to want them. But I'm paranoid of her choking so we got a food mill and now we're making her baby food from what we had for dinner (and if what we had isn't okay for her I make it with fresh veggies steamed or fresh fruit) and now she's picking up with the solids again, even the jars. I think she was getting sick of them but now that she's getting fresh also she's regaining interest. She's up to a jar/cereal for breakfast, a jar/cereal and an entire yobaby for lunch, and a jar/cereal for dinner plus another jar of meats and lots of finger foods of whatever we are eating.

Re: More ba-ba less solids????

My DD always went back and forth with the bottle. I really think it had a lot to do with teething as well. Just remember that formula does provide complete nutrition so it really doesn't matter that he is not eating solids for now.

When my daughter is sick and not eating I will still go back to formula so that I know she is getting some nutrition.

Alex went through a stage like this as well. In fact, he was eating a lot of table foods and now went back to eating baby foods. I think it might have to do with teething and him not wanting to chew anything.
