So I was checking TTC board (at of boredom) and came across Brook the Psychic...

at first I thought to myself, what a scam but after reading few stories I decided to email her and see what she has to say...you get the prediction via email...you ask one question for $12.50 (what's 12.50 when you are spending your life savings on IVF right? ), attach your photo and viola, you have your future predicted...lol....now this is what I emailed her

Hello Brooke,

I have a TTC question. When will it happen/how and I guess if you do see a gender, please let me know. We do have a child together. Hope to hear from you soon.

Now, this is what she replied back..

Hi .....I'm being shown a timeframe of May-July for conception or when you find out. Also in the cards was a "procedure" and "meds"..does this make sense? Do you already have a son? Either you're going to have twin boys, or they're showing you currently with a son, about to add one more!

I am doing our next IVF (meds) mid May and my DH is having TESE (procedure) as well.

Trust me I don't really believe in psychics but it was very freaky to get this email from her...very weird.....It did make me feel better of course..at this point I will take anything to bring my hopes up...

Well I did contact her after seeing some of the predictions come true just for the hell of it. She told me july/august and that I'm contemplating a procedure or meds....
Actually this is going to be our first month trying after having a lap done for endo and I'm going back and forth if I should do a iui to greater my chances. We are trying to be aggressive as we can. Her prediction was close to what is going on in my life. Just hope god has another plan for time of conception like APRIL!

Long story short I agree with you because I was shocked. These feelings I only expressed with DH.

I dont believe in that stuff . It takes on average someone to conceive about 3 months, it seems her predictions are always about three months from the date of the email... She has a change at a 50/ 50 guess of boy or girl. I would assume most people emailing a psychic about conception have been trying for a while, take meds and have a higher chance of twins. The lady (if it really is a lady) is a genius though. probly making a killing! I would just take it for what it is, its all in fun I guess. Does anyone really think its true or does everyone just do it for fun?

does she have a website, i want to take a look!!!

Let me just state this that I DON'T believe in psychics either...I did this for fun and wanted to see what she says.....

It was weird that she did see "procedure, meds, twins" in my cards....was it random, probably but very weird she got all that right along with the timeframe.....

I emiled her back telling her that we are indeed doing IVF in mid May and she redid the cards again and again saw twins..(my last successful IVF started out as twins but lost one baby at 7weeks)..funny...

Whatever BS it is, it gave me hope and positive thinking this cycle might work. It will be cycle #5 so I need all the luck I can get!

i don't necessarily believe in psychics either.. but i did email Brooke for the heck of it, just to see what she said about us

i didnt tell dh, and if her prediction is true, i probably still wouldn't tell him because i'm too embarrassed to admit i did it!

Anyway, I told her that we'd been trying for some time (in reality we're on our 15th month) and she came back to me with this:
"I don't think it's going to be too much longer..I'm getting a timeframe of May/June for conception/find out. Also something about a "test" came up, soon. Could be a home test?"

I think she probably has very similar readings for most people - i mean its not a stretch to say she sees meds or testing or even a procedure in anyone's future if you're TTC'ing. 'meds' could be prenatals, 'testing' could be HPT and 'procedure' could even be blood testing

so while i did it sort of just for fun and to see if she said anytime soon or if she said not for another year.. i don't put much stock in it.
I wonder if she ever gives anyone 'bad' news?

But for anyone who does believe.. hey, go for it, if it gives you that one little thing to help you get through this journey, then i'm ok with it

You know, I keep on checking the post on Brooke on the TTC site. I don't believe in psychics either but when it comes down to having babies, I'm starting to try anything and everything. I actually mentioned to DH and he just laughed at me and said "you are a scientist and you believe in psychics?"
I think i might take the dive soon!! I just want to know so badly!!!

I will! How long did it take her to respond to you? I put my payment in and e-mailed her yesterday. I keep checking my e-mail all the time
