CHEAP pilates?!
do cheap as in less $$, pilates classes exist?! this is something that I want to keep doing but it is pretty expensive :( I told DH to get me a GC to the studio i'm going to for mother's day, but once that runs out I dont know if i can keep it up! i don't want to do tapes...I know myself...i WON'T use them! If I sign up for classes and pay for it I will feel obligated to go. It also works so much better for me when there are others there to motivate me!

Re: CHEAP pilates?!
Define affordable.
I don't go to pilates but I do go to yoga. I have found that if you sign up for their monthly unlimited classes, and go at least 3-4x a week it is so much cheaper. It's like $145.00 for the month vs $20.00 per class.
Someone posted yesterday and I've seen it advertised as well at my local one, but sometime libraries offer free fitness classes. It may not be pilates but it's worth looking into.

Yes, definitely check out your local library. I have been taking a yoga class, once a week, for the last six months. An eight week session at my library (1x/wk) is $28.00!

Re: CHEAP pilates?!
Also keep your eye on the mail for the following.
Some school districts do inexpensive classes. I've noticed pilates being taught in my district, I think. (I really look more at the yoga even though I've never signed up.)
Also look for booklets from your town. I used to live in the Town of Hempstead. They had a huge offering of exercise classes. I did an amazing kundalini yoga class that was taught in Merrick. I am fairly certain that pilates was offered. Other towns might do this too. I really wish I wish I still lived in the Town of Hempstead. I miss that class.

Re: CHEAP pilates?!
It might be worth it to join a gym..they usually offer @ 3 pilates and 3 yoga classes a week...and you would pay less then a pilates or yoga studio
