so when you go for beta
totally jumping the gun here....but this is my first medicated cycle.... not iui but timed intercourse and drugs etc...they said come in two weeks from ordivel shot....
which would be cycle day 24ish for me.... to test teh beta....
the nurse said they can tell accuarately bc they know when i o'd but ....i know with hpts you sometimes need to wait till af due date to get accurate results. how does this work then with beta?
ps...i am do the ordivel shot tomorrow so can i do an hpt like ten days later before the beta? i hear it take a little while for it to be out of the system? ty so much from a confused drugged person lol

Re: so when you go for beta
The beta is the HCG produced, a HPT isnt as sensitive as blood. The beta test can pick up the number very low..I think they wait 14 days after the trigger shot...

Re: so when you go for beta
if you are planning to test with an HPT prior to the beta you should really test with HPT's for several days after the trigger (like 3days, then 5days..etc.) to make sure the HCG from the trigger has left your system. you will get positives but they will keep getting lighter and eventually you'll get a BFN. once that happens you will know that any BFP after that is the real thing. otherwise you will be questioning it the whole time.
