After ALL that
I didn't even end up wearing the dress!  First the grey leggings were too long and looked too bunched up by my ankle booties. So I think they need to be washed first to shrink up. Plus, I was getting static cling with the dress and leggings so I didn't want to deal with that.
So I ended up wearing black leggings and an old dress that I had for the defense.  It ended up looking really good and I got a bunch of compliments. Maybe I'll wear the new dress for easter.
Besides static cling spray, is there any other way to deal with static cling, especially with leggings?

oh, man....that kind of stuff happens to me all the time...you think you have everything planned out perfectly and then at the last minute you end up wearing something else! not sure how you would get rid of the static cling....maybe you should return the leggings though if they are bunching up so much!

Actually, the same thing happened with my black ones and they are fine now that I washed them. It's because they are so long. Since they are cotton they should shrink up. And if not I can still wear them with my uggs, just maybe not the short booties.

Aww, it's a great dress--though, I am sure you'll find another use for it.
For something big like that, you have to feel comfortable no use feeling self-concious over staticky scrunchy legings!
How did it go?
